Pianist, composer and arranger, Daniela Mastrandrea was born in the beautiful cultural city of Gravina in Puglia in 1981, and started studying the piano at the age of 7. She composed her first pieces when she was 9. In 2003 she graduated in piano from the "Nino Rota" Conservatory of Music in Monopoli (BA) under the guidance of her teacher Gabriella Bassi, at the same time carrying out studies in composition. 

She is the winner of several international composition competitions. In 2015, with the piece for piano solo Luci e Ombre, she won the 1st absolute prize of both the technical and popular jury on the occasion of the Sisì Frezza International Composition Competition in Barletta, winning a publication entrusted to Editrice Rotas. In 2017, I Solisti Veneti directed by Maestro Claudio Scimone premiered La Sorgente, one of her compositions for string orchestra, oboe and bassoon at the Cesare Pollini Auditorium in Padua; in the same year, she wins the Web Talent V.I.T.A. promoted by Believe Digital and Zimbalam Italia, winning a record production. In 2018, she gets the Argojazz Award as Best Musical Work for the 15th edition of the 2018 Argojazz Festival, she performs for the XXXIII of the Time Zones 2018 Festival and she is awarded by the Estro Musicale Foundation (Milan) for her composition for piano solo La Besana; in the same year, her Luci e Ombre is performed at the Schloß Schönbrunn in Vienna, she takes part as arranger in the drafting of the Hymn of Desires for the XIII edition of the Tuttestorie Children's Literature Festival and together with Luigi Patruno she signs the soundtrack of Heart cartoon, thirteen episodes produced and distributed by Mondo TV SPA. In 2019, Semplicemente te is chosen for the movie "The Adventures of Mr Food & Mrs Wine" by Antonio Silvestre. In 2020, she wrote Swisscare, the hymn of Nahrin Swisscare, she won the Kleisma Digital Contest and L’artista che non c’era award with the piece Mondi Paralleli and she performed for the 38th Concert Season of Fasano Musica.

Her first CD for solo piano was issued in 2005. This was Volo di Gabbiani, a collection of pieces she composed between the ages of 11 and 18. 2016 saw the release of her CD entitled Fluide Risonanze. This was composed, arranged and performed for a quartet of flute, violin, cello and piano. A single entitled GAME OVERcomposed and performed for solo piano, was issued in 2017 and in 2018 a work for solo piano, Lo Specchio, was released. In 2019 her SINGLES RENDEZVOUS, Claudine & Jean-Pierre, NUMA, Sottovoce. In 2020 a work for solo piano Mondi Paralleli. In 2021, Riflessi, her fifth work for piano solo and more, anticipated by the singles Come Neve and Attimi.

Her pieces and compositions are performed by various orchestras and ensembles all over the world.
